TAPPS sets mandatory regional meetings
Each athletic director must attend one session
While most students and teachers will be taking the summer off, the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools has scheduled a series of eight regional meetings for its approximately 250 athletic directors.
Executive Director Edd Burleson said the meetings are mandatory and each athletic director must attend one of the half-day sessions. They are scheduled at various locations across the state during July and August. Head administrators also are invited and encouraged to attend, Burleson said.
The schedule includes meetings in Salado at the Salado Civic center on July 17; in Lubbock at Christ the King Cathedral School on July 21; in Fort Worth at Nolan Catholic High School on July 22; in Tyler at Grace Community School on July 23; a repeat presentation in Salado on July 24; in Houston at Second Baptist School on July 28; in San Antonio at Christian High School on July 29, and in Harlingen at the Marine Military Academy on July 30.
Persons planning on attending can make reservations by sending a fax to the TAPPS office (254-947-9368) to designate which meeting you plan to attend by June 30, 2009.
